Out of Time?

Clock_MG_1506If you’re feeling frazzled by lack of time, taking a step back to analyze your habits may help you organize tasks more efficiently. On his blog, business coach and consultant John Farrington addresses the familiar complaint of too much to do in too little time. His offers suggestions to get you thinking about how time is allocated and how tasks are prioritized. According to Farrington, following his steps for 21 days can help establish a more focused game plan and turn the steps into habits. To start, he suggests focusing on goals:

“Start with identifying your long- term goals first, because it creates a context for all your activities. Having a clear vision of what you are aiming for, gives you motivation and momentum so that day-to-day decisions that arise can be easily made because you are able to evaluate them in terms of ‘Is this activity moving me closer towards my goal?’”

Read the rest of his action plan here, which includes a set of questions to ask yourself every evening to ensure you’re on track to creating good time management habits.
