Looking at 2010 advertising sales revenue projections by sector, sales managers expect increased growth in healthcare, retail and restaurant. More than a third predict increased revenue from the auto industry, up more than two and a half times over 2009 expectations.
With mid-term elections, political spending should be up in 2010, especially for television. Expectations remain low for recruiting as the job market remains down.

Advertising executives agree with their managers that the retail, healthcare, and restaurant sectors are a good bet for growth in 2010 and also expect better news from automotive. This group seems a little less optimistic about political spending, with 17% expecting a decrease in revenue, versus 10% of the advertising sales managers.

The AdMall Local Advertising Sales Outlook was conducted December 7 – 19, 2009. The sample size for this survey was 1,180 AdMall clients across the United States, including 203 advertising sales managers and 712 account executives.
