Even if you haven’t seen the movie Inception, Josh Gordon’s article about the power of ideas will still make sense. He opens his article with a quote from:
What is the most resilient parasite?
An idea.
A single idea from the human mind can build cities.
An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.
He uses this quote to drive home the point that ideas are powerful tools, especially when it comes to selling. “The essence of using an idea to persuade is to sell an audience on a unique idea which, if accepted, gains acceptance for your candidate, product, or proposal,” he writes. “In short, buy my idea, buy what I am selling.” Successfully passing off an idea to others can be difficult but can be done by understanding just how to present your idea and to whom.
